Domestic Relations
ILAM was accepted as a member of the Malaysian Professional Centre (BIM) or Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia, in 1982.
ILAM joined the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC) on 9 December, 2009.
International Relations
ILAM gained international recognition by becoming a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) on 26 September, 1984, at the 22nd IFLA World Congress in Sofok, Hungary and the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in the same year.
